CANDLE BURNING TIPS

For the best candle-burning experience...

LET THE WAX POOL
Let your candle burn all the way across to the edge of the container to liquefy the entire top layer of wax before extinguishing. This will ensure that it does not “tunnel” as it burns, leaving wax along the sides of the container. The top of the candle might look rough after extinguishing or it might be as smooth as glass, which is common with soy wax and will not affect its performance.

BURN "HOURS TO INCHES"
Burn one hour for every inch wide it is across (if 3" across, burn for at least three hours). Burn for no more than four hours, then extinguish and allow it to cool for at least two hours before relighting.

TRIM THE WICK
Keep out of drafts and trim the wick to 1/4" to prevent smoking and soot. If smoking occurs, trim the wick to 1/8". If a “mushroom” forms on top of the wick, trim it off.

STORE PROPERLY AND BURN SAFELY
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, intense light, and heat sources. Allow it to come to room temperature for at least two hours before burning. Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, never leave unattended while lit, and keep out of the reach of small children and pets.

RE-USE THE JAR
Clean out the jar with hot water and a drop of dish soap and re-use it! Or return your clean 9 ounce or larger jar to our boutique for a $1 store credit.
